If we can’t get you better, or your improvement plateaus we will either re-assess and change our treatment plan, refer you to a colleague for a second opinion, or write to your GP with a suggested
treatment route. If you need to see a Surgeon, we can advise which Consultant specialises in your condition.
Our Acupuncture Physiotherapists have a special tool – it can often help if you have failed to respond to the more traditional treatments and is especially good for those back / neck nerve pains that won’t calm down.
How can acupuncture help me?

How long will it take:
The needle must be left in place for at least 20 minutes. A 30 minute treatment, twice a week for 3 weeks is common. However, personal response to the treatment will dictate future appointments. Benefits are rarely felt immediately but the relief usually builds up after each session. If there is no response after 6 sessions, it is unlikely acupuncture will work for you.
