Welcome to the Physiotherapy team at The Village Clinic, Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham. We pride ourselves on providing a specialist Cheltenham Physiotherapy clinic, providing the very best treatment for injuries and pain. We strive to get you back to normal, as soon as possible - whether you are retired and can't manage the garden, or a sports person who can't compete. We treat all joints, back pain, neck pain, nerve, muscles, ligaments, tendonitis, injuries, rehabilitation etc – too many to list.
We provide a variety of modern and traditional physiotherapy treatments e.g. Manual therapy, joint mobilisations, muscle myofascial release, rehabilitation, exercise therapy, ultrasound, kinesiotape and most important, lots of advice / self management tips. Each physiotherapy treatment plan is individual to the patient.
Our Cheltenham Acupuncture Physiotherapists have great success in reducing pain where other treatments have failed – Please see our Acupuncture page for more information.
If we can’t get you better, or your improvement plateaus we will either re-assess and change our treatment plan, refer you to a colleague for a second opinion, or write to your GP with a suggested
treatment route. If you need to see a Surgeon, we can advise which Consultant specialises in your condition.
We also have a neurological trained physiotherapist who specialises in Stroke rehab, MS, Parkinsons, Head injuries etc
Our Acupuncture Physiotherapists have a special tool – it can often help if you have failed to respond to the more traditional treatments and is especially good for those back / neck nerve pains that won’t calm down.
How can acupuncture help me?
Many conditions respond well to acupuncture e.g.:
How long will it take:
The needle must be left in place for at least 20 minutes. A 30 minute treatment, twice a week for 3 weeks is common. However, personal response to the treatment will dictate future appointments. Benefits are rarely felt immediately but the relief usually builds up after each session. If there is no response after 6 sessions, it is unlikely acupuncture will work for you.
